SERVICES/PRICING...
Our goal in setting up Yorkie Camp was to provide a place that is as close to your Yorkie's home environment as possible. We are committed to providing the kind of care that we'd want for our own little Yorkies.
We provide both Daycare and Overnight Boarding. Some Yorkies board with us for one night and some for weeks (and occasionally months) at a time.
Pricing*:
Daycare....$18/day (or $70/week; M-F)
Overnight Stays....$28/night
How do you save?
> Most kennels do not allow drop-offs or pick-ups between Saturday noon and Monday morning. So you often are forced to leave your pet for a costly day or two...at Yorkie Camp, we're open all day Saturday and Sunday.
> Most kennels charge for every little extra including playtime...there are no extra charges at Yorkie Camp.
> A complimentary exit bath is given to all Yorkies that board with us for 7 days or longer.
> See all the "included" services listed below that are at no charge (as well as certain discounts).Since our goal in setting up Yorkie Camp was to provide a level of care that we want for our own Yorkies, the pricing includes the following (at no extra charge):
Daily eye cleaning
Daily brushing
Medication dosing/dispensing
Access to yard and play time during the entire day (weather permitting)
LOTS of laptime and playtime
*Discounts are applied to the total boarding charges:
10% for multiple Yorkies
20% for "long stays" (over 30 consecutive nights)
* If the pick-up time is significantly later than the drop off time then a daycare charge will be incurred. Example: if the dog is dropped off at 9am on a Monday and picked up at 3pm on Friday, then the charge will be for the 4 nights ($104) plus a daycare charge of $15, for a total of $119.
* We are not equipped to take any credit or debit cards.
Our History:
We have had Yorkies for several years and during our earlier business careers we both had to travel extensively and we were always feeling guilty about leaving our very pampered pets in a kennel.
We tried several "high end" kennels that boasted of private rooms, special care, playtimes, and so forth. But we always came home to Yorkies that were hoarse from barking AND, worse, they just barked and shook like leaves when we'd pull up to the kennel the next time...we knew it was an indicator.
When we relocated back to California in 2006 after a dozen years living in the mid-west and the south, we were determined to create a boarding kennel that would provide the kind of love, affection, and caring that we always wanted for our own Yorkies when we traveled. And so, Yorkie Camp was born!!
We still have 5 Yorkies of our own (3 adopted through our involvement as a foster home for Yorkie Rescue).
Yorkie Camp isn't just our business, it's truly our own labor of love.
